UNDP Country Team poses with I Know Gender certificates

Training on Gender Mainstreaming with UNDP Dominican Republic Office

On 4 August 2016, the UN Women Training Centre delivered a training to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Dominican Republic country team on Gender Mainstreaming in Programmes and Projects. Participants first completed the Spanish version of the online self-paced course I Know Gender, which provided an introduction to gender concepts, issues, and international frameworks, before focusing gender mainstreaming in the face-to- face portion of the training.

UNITAR Announces Retreat for Women Senior Leaders

Training Centre holds Webinar for Gender Parity in Costa Rica, in the context of the 2016 local elections

On June 30th, the UN Women Training Centre held the Webinar Gender Parity in Costa Rica, in the context of the 2016 local elections. The Webinar aimed to present the experience of Nielsen Perez, who was a candidate for Mayor of Vázquez de Coronado, a canton of the city of San Jose in Costa Rica. Her testimony presented the landscape of women´s political participation in the electoral process to the participants of the Webinar.

I Know Gender Course Module on Gender Equality in Emergencies Now Available!

UN Women Training Centre is pleased to introduce Gender Equality in Emergencies, a new module part of the “I Know Gender” online course. This module, developed in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), addresses the importance of promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women during all operations, including humanitarian emergencies.
