Given the high registration rate for the “Transformative Leadership: Leading for Gender Equality and Women’s Rights” course that took place in Vienna last May, The UN Women Training Centre is pleased to announce that registration has opened for a new edition of the course during 2018.

Transformative leadership for gender equality is driven by a vision of social justice aimed at dismantling gender power structures and discriminatory practices – both formal and informal – in order to advance gender equality within organizations and social movements as well as in communities and societies. The course therefore aims to strengthen capacities and the knowledge of managers and organizational leaders to advance gender equality, women’s empowerment, and women’s rights.
The course is open to all practitioners involved in the process of moving the gender equality and women’s empowerment agenda forward within their organizational contexts and mandates. The UN Women Training Centre invites participants from civil society, development agencies, UN agencies and/or from the private sector to register. The course is particularly relevant to those holding managerial roles and responsibilities, as well as those with functions to provide strategic or visionary guidance to their offices. The Course is divided into the following modules:
- Module 1: Purpose, Principles and Power as a gender-inclusive transformative leader with vision for change.
- Module 2: Inspiring and Enabling Others to Act to transform teams/organizations to be gender-inclusive and advance gender justice and equality.
- Module 3: Priorities for Transformative Action on Gender Equality in planning for context specific actionable ideas to build stronger organizational cultures, programs and strategies.

Apply now by completing the course registration form, before 30 September 2018. Due to high registration rates we would advise all interested participants to register at the soonest possibility, as the candidates will be selected on a rolling basis and thus registration may close earlier.
