After two editions of the face-to-face course this year in French and Spanish, the UN Women Training Centre is glad to announce the last workshop on Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) of 2018, this time in English and taking place in Istanbul. The face-to-face modality is recommended for those aspiring to enhance the quality of the processes for GRB with the support of experts in the field and through networking.

The 5 days training workshop will include knowledge and experience exchange sessions as well as hands-on exercises that will help participants to develop technical skills for drafting and implementing an action plan to strengthen gender budgeting in their context. In line with previous editions, the general objectives of the course are: to improve the analytical and practical competencies of the professionals working in this area and their understanding of the gender dimension in each stage of development of policies and budgets, as well as to develop the necessary skills to identify the starting points for introducing the processes of GRB.

The workshop will especially benefit development practitioners including policy-makers, civil society, researchers, advocates, and United Nations System staff who are working on gender mainstreaming in different spheres such as public policy, budgeting, and planning.

The application form is available here. For more information please download the course flyer in English.
