19 April 2017

This Virtual Dialogue will take place online from 24 April - 14 May, 2016 on the UN Women Training Centre Training for Gender Equality Community of Practice (CoP).

This online discussion is an exciting opportunity for participatory reflection on the nature of the change which can be – and has been – achieved through training for gender equality, and how its impact can be gauged. Drawing together a broad audience, including the 1,800 members of the Training Centre's Community of Practice (CoP), experts, practitioners, researchers, academics and development organizations, the discussion will move us closer to understanding and evaluating the transformative potential of training for gender equality, in the interests of catalysing ever more transformational change.

The Virtual Dialogue will consist of a series of moderated online discussions centered around generating the change through training for gender equality. To guide these online discussions, the Virtual Dialogue includes a self-titled Webinar to take place on Wednesday, 3 May 2017, 10:00 am AST. Click here to register for the Webinar.

The Webinar and online discussions will feature the participation of the following invited expert speakers/panelists:

  • Representative of the UN Women Independent Evaluation Office (TBC)
  • Anne-Charlott Callerstig, Postdoctoral Researcher, Orebro University, Sweden
  • Maram Barqawi, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Jordan Education Initiative and Instructor for EvalPartners
