GTCoP - Community of Practice Training for Gender Equality

CentreLGS pioneers and facilitates work that analyses, investigates and deepens understandings of the relationship between law, gender and sexuality. It seeks to broaden this field of study by using humanities methods (philosophical, historical, doctrinal, literary and cultural) to analyse legal issues relating to gender and sexuality. It also aims to deepen theorisation of relations of inequality, in particular to explore how gender and sexuality intersect other social relations, including class, disability, ethnicity, and race. CentreLGS involves a partnership between the University of Kent - the main physical base for the Centre - and the universities of Keele and Westminster. 

The Gunda Werner Institute for Feminism and Gender Democracy, part of the The Heinrich-Böll-Foundation, undertakes activism and gender training programmes that seek to politicise gender issues, pool efforts, expand existing networks and build new ones.

ABAAD is non-profit, non-politically affiliated, non-religious civil association that promotes sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region through equality, protection, capacity building/training, and the empowerment of marginalised groups, especially women. It comprises of a pool of resources, human rights activists, lawyers, experts in their fields, social workers and researchers - all dedicated towards achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment. 

The African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) is a Grantmaking Foundation which supports local, national and regional organisations in Africa working towards women's empowerment. Through institutional capacity building and programme development, AWDF seeks to build a culture of learning and partnerships within the African women's movement. Its objectives are fundraising within and outside Africa, grant-making on an Africa-wide basis, communicating the work and achievements of African women's organisations, and providing technical assistance to grantees.

Agribusiness Systems International (ASI), an affiliate of ACDI/VOCA, facilitates skills development among female and male farmers and agribusinesses in India in order to ensure that men and women benefit equally from development opportunities. One of ASI's training initiatives, overseen by ACDI/VOCA, is featured as a good practice in the UN Women Training Centre's Compendium of Good Practices in Training for Gender Equality.

ACDI/VOCA is a global agricultural development NGO and economic development organization that fosters broad-based economic growth, raises living standards, and creates vibrant communities. Its expertise is in catalysing investment, climate smart agriculture, empowerment & resilience, institutional strengthening, and market systems. It provides oversight, strategic expertise, and guidance for gender capacity development initiatives, including those by its affiliate ASI. One of ASI's training initiatives, overseen by ACDI/VOCA, is featured as a good practice in the UN Women Training Centre's Compendium of Good Practices in Training for Gender Equality.

ALG Consulting works to bring about greater gender equality, well-being and alignment within organizations. ​Through facilitation and training expertise, the consultancy firm specializes in customized solutions to enable organizations to advance gender equality, prevent sexual misconduct and create more respectful workplaces. 

The American Refugee Committee is an international nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that has provided humanitarian assistance and training to millions of beneficiaries over the last 30 years. ARC works with refugee communities in 7 countries around the world, helping people regain control of their lives. The people ARC serves have lost everything to events completely beyond their control. ARC provides shelter, clean water and sanitation, health care, skills training, microcredit education, protection and whatever support we can to let people begin again.

APC Women's Networking Support Programme is a global network of women who support women networking for social change and women's empowerment, through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). They promote gender equality in the design, development, implementation, access to and use of ICTs and in the policy decisions and frameworks that regulate them.

ADB is an international development finance institution whose mission is to help its developing member countries reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of their people. The organization provides capacity building and training to mid- and senior-level officials from member countries to enhance awareness on the region’s important development issues, introduce appropriate policy proposals to address them, and build consensus among policy makers and stakeholders on key priority areas. Delivered in the form of policy dialogues, course-based training, and e-learning, the capacity building and training program provides a forum for discussion and information sharing on development practices and country experiences.
