This case study research examines the gender dimensions of migration and remittances in the context of Senegal and the destination country of France This report reflects two research components. First, a critical review of relevant literature on Senegalese migration, remittances, development, gender and a discussion of the key policies and practices of national and international development actors form the background to this report. Second, empirical data collected through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods constitutes the heart of the analysis.
