The Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) and the UN Women Training Centre have recently made available the self-paced course IASC e-learning on Gender Equality in Humanitarian Action.
The aim of this course is to provide introductory guidance, through information and practical examples, on the fundamentals of applying a gender equality perspective across all stages of the humanitarian programming cycle. The participant’s learning will be accompanied by a variety of resources, such as the IASC’s 2017 Gender Handbook for Humanitarian Action, available here. The course is based on the content of this Handbook.
This course is ideal for humanitarian staff from the UN, NGOs, governments, and civil society, but is also open to all users looking for an introduction on how to integrate gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in the assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian programming.
