The International Labour Organization Training Centre (ITC-ILO) and the UN Women Training Centre have joined their expertise in Training for Gender Equality to deliver an updated version of the course Empowering Gender Focal Points: Agents of Organisational Change. This training is a blended modality programme, with an online phase occurring from 22 October to 16 November, and a week-long face-to-face workshop from 19 to 23 November taking place in the ILO Centre Facilities in Turin Italy. The deadline to apply is 1st October 2018.

Taking the UN system as model of good practice, the course provides GFPs with an introduction to the UN Gender architecture and explores strategies and tools for identifying and addressing gender equality obstacles within organisations. It will analyse gender mainstreaming tools such as UNCT scorecard, gender markers and the UN System Wide Approach on Gender Equality, and its concrete application, as well as build a community of practice within GFPs to foster discussion and sharing of good practices.

This training is ideal for GFPs and gender facilitators tasked with supporting and promoting gender mainstreaming in their departments, organisations and agencies. However, it is also open to all staff interested in taking gender issues and inclusiveness in their work.

Applications should be filled online by clicking here (please select the appropriate activity Title: Empowering Gender Focal Points: Organisational Agents of Change). For more information about course content and methodology you can also go to the ITC-ILO site or download detailed course flyer.
