The UN Women Training Centre announces the opening of the Learning Pathway on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment. The overall objective of this course is to provide participants, through a series of resources and learning tools, with the opportunity to develop new and enhance existing knowledge and skills on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The learning pathway has different tracks, each consisting of three levels of difficulty (basic, intermediate, advanced). As a start, all participants are trained in basic gender concepts, the human rights-based approach and the strategy of gender mainstreaming, as well as the UN System’s work on gender equality. The course also considers participant’s in distinct organizational branches and provides access to suitable material for programme and operations staff and managers. Accordingly, the learning pathway has specific learning objectives for each of these routes.

The course is based on resources produced by the UN Women Training Centre and complemented by other relevant and publicly available resources provided by other stakeholders, such as case studies, research papers, training manuals, templates and alike.

This learning pathway is a pilot course and for this reason, it is available for free at the moment. Participants are strongly encouraged to provide feedback on their learning experience at info.trainingcentre@unwomen.org.
