Los objetivos de estos talleres de formación de formadores es que al final de los tres días, las y los servidores públicos, personas de la sociedad civil y académicos: tengan una comprensión clara y común sobre las formas de violencia que sufren las mujeres en ciudades y espacios públicos, el marco normativo y las buenas prácticas para luchar contra ellas; manejen algunas de las herramientas clave para incorporar una perspectiva de género en sus acciones relativas a la planeación, prevención y respuesta a las violencias y para mayor coordinación entre actores; puedan integrar y replicar metodologías participativas de planeación, prevención y respuesta a las violencias que involucren a las propias niñas y mujeres; se sientan capaces de facilitar talleres de capacitación para el personal de distintas instituciones relacionadas con el tema.

This training course, to be held in Pärnu, Estonia, aims at empowering youth workers to question their personal gender assumptions, to apply gender dimension to their youth activities, and to contribute to more inclusive and gender just societies. The training course will bring together 26 youth workers and youth leaders from 13 EU and neighbourhood countries: Armenia, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, and Ukraine. This open call is ONLY for participants from Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Romania, Russia and Spain.

This self-paced course  enhances participants' understanding of the relevance of CEDAW - Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women - and its application in their daily work. 

The objective of this course is to enhance the capacity of UN programme staff at national, regional and global offices, to support the implementation of CEDAW by national counterparts via: 

• Increased knowledge about CEDAW, including its core principles, core obligations of States parties to CEDAW, the reporting cycle, domestication of CEDAW at national level, and the use of the optional protocol to CEDAW. 
• Enhanced skills to apply the substantive framework of CEDAW in legislative, policy and institutional analysis and incorporate CEDAW in programming and policy advocacy work. 
• Strengthened awareness of women’s rights violations and gender inequality and strengthened commitment to promote women’s human rights and gender equality.

The course can be completed online in 4-6 hours, involving dynamic multimedia components (videos, quizzes, infographics, case studies, etc). A certificate of completion is given at the end of the course if participants' score over 80% on the final test.

This e-learning course introduces participants to principles, strategies, normative frameworks and policy approaches on engaging men and boys on gender equality. Examining critical concepts such as masculinity, patriarchy and intersectionality, the course discusses why a holistic approach is central to achieving gender equality and explores the relationship between gender equality, sustainable development and human rights. Through case studies, it will also look at how practitioners can use these concepts to transform gender relations and overcome gender inequalities faced by women and men. Participants will think critically about how men and boys can serve both as change agents and as target groups in realising gender equality and gender justice for all. This course will focus on the lessons learned by organisations that have carried out gender equality programmes that have engaged men and boys in fields such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, domestic work and caregiving, education, income generation and economic empowerment of women.

Lla quinta versión del curso a distancia sobre Políticas Públicas de Cuidado para el Desarrollo tiene como objetivo conocer las políticas públicas relacionadas con el cuidado como instrumentos para la igualdad de género y la valoración del trabajo no remunerado, así como sus implicaciones para desarrollar un enfoque de corresponsabilidad social. Sus objetivos específicos son: 

• Conocer y analizar las políticas públicas relacionadas con el cuidado en América Latina y el Caribe desde la perspectiva de los derechos humanos y de su impacto sobre el desarrollo. 
• Comprender el significado de la categoría de cuidado en el análisis de las desigualdades sociales y de género. 
• Reconocer e identificar las principales herramientas de la política y sus implicancias sobre la igualdad de género (presupuestos, planificación). 
• Analizar críticamente casos nacionales de políticas de cuidado. 
• Identificar y utilizar indicadores relevantes para el monitoreo y análisis de las políticas públicas de cuidado.

El curso está dirigido principalmente a funcionarios públicos de los mecanismos para adelanto de la mujer (MAM), Institutos de estadística (INE) y otros organismos públicos ministerios de desarrollo social, del trabajo y otros, así como de otras dependencias vinculadas a programas de igualdad de género en organismos estadales/regionales y municipales. También está dirigido a profesionales del sector no gubernamental y universidades. 

This course's objective is to equip participants with skills for conducting impact evaluations, with a special focus on youth employment programmes. This training will combine sessions for discussion on fundamental concepts related to youth and women employment interventions, sessions focused on properties of different techniques for impact evaluation and exercises with a statistical software for applying the techniques to real data. Offered jointly by ITC-ILO and IFAD, this course course on monitoring and evaluation of employment programmes, with a particular focus on interventions targeted at women and rural youth, will be delivered as part of an IFAD-financed project, “Strengthening gender monitoring and evaluation in rural employment in the Near East and North Africa.” Upon completion, it is expected that participants will: 

• Have deepened their understanding of employment indicators relevant for young people and reviewed the most typical designs of youth employment promotion interventions; 
  
• Have improved or updated their knowledge of quantitative impact evaluation concepts and methods; 
  
• Have reviewed and tested impact evaluation methods and techniques; 
  
• Have applied the different quantitative techniques to real data and interpreted the results; 
  
• Be in a position to identify the most pertinent type of impact evaluation technique, taking into account specific characteristics of the programme design and data needs.
  

This blended course targets professionals in the development sector, who know about gender and inclusiveness but would like to make it practical in their projects/programmes, teams and/or organisations. Trainees will learn to systematically analyse differences in interest, power and decision making among different social groups; men and women, girls, boys, youths and elderly persons, able-bodied people and persons with disabilities, and how to capitalise on each group's strengths. The course offers a blended learning trajectory, combining online learning and face-to-face training. The first 4 weeks of the course, starting on September 25, participants learn by distance through the online learning platform. Participants are requested to spend 2-3 hours per week in the online course. The face-to-face part includes 8 days in Ede, the Netherlands. 

The CEDAW for Change Institute/Training Program aims to provide training participants with an understanding of human rights principles and obligations in the context of the international human rights system, to prepare participants to understand the CEDAW Convention as a living document and to apply its principles practically to support women’s equality and empowerment. This unique educational institute brings feminist perspectives and an activist orientation to the inextricably related issues of peace, human rights and life-sustaining development. It is directed towards women’s organization representatives, human rights defenders, government representatives, researchers, grassroots community leaders, educators, lawyers, and others. The initiative will be held in Oxford, UK, spanning an online programme and a one-week Institute from September 25 – 30, 2017.

This blended course on Gender Mainstreaming aims to strengthen capacity of UN System, development organisations, governments and other stakeholders to mainstream gender in public policies, programmes and projects and institutions and organizations. It will take place from 18- September – 13 October online and from 16-20 October face-to-face in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Summer Academy 2017 Program will strengthen the skills of participants in peace building, mediation, conflict resolution, security, intercultural dialogue and human rights. Targeted participants include participants of state organisations, the private sector, INGOs/NGOs, academic/education institutions, religious organisations, independent mediators and others. The dates for the program are: 

• VII International Summer Academy: 11 - 20 August, 2017 (10 Days) 
  
• VIII International Summer Academy: 20 - 29 August, 2017 (10 Days)

Participants can take part in one 10 day program, or both programs over the course of 20 days. A 3-Month CAS Research Program is also available (August - November, 2017
