This e-learning course introduces participants to the concept, principles, tools and practical examples of gender responsive budgeting (GRB) and how to use it. Starting with basics of gender equality principles, through public budgets and budgetting the course discusses how best to combine gender knowledge with knowledge of public finance to achieve de-facto gender equality and effective use of budget funds. The course will also cover different examples and case studies to show variety of approaches in GRB around the world. Through case studies, it will also look at how practitioners can use GRB tools to analyse existing budget programs and provide recommendations for improvement of the programmes to better target the needs of all. Participants will engage in several practical exercises to think critically about how they can use GRB effectively in different contexts.

This e-learning course is an introduction to documenting and monitoring women’s human rights and gender equality, including sexual and gender based violence, women in situations of armed conflict, education, political rights and freedoms, and special protection measures. It will critically look at the gendered dimension to women’s human rights violations and the challenges in implementing and monitoring these rights in an analytical framework. The course will address the cycle of monitoring, including tool development; methodologies for carrying out documentation; and the application of results for improving the respect, protection, prevention and realisation of women’s human rights.

This e-learning course introduces participants to principles, strategies, normative frameworks and policy approaches on engaging men and boys on gender equality. Examining critical concepts such as masculinity, patriarchy and intersectionality, the course discusses why a holistic approach is central to achieving gender equality and explores the relationship between gender equality, sustainable development and human rights. Through case studies, it will also look at how practitioners can use these concepts to transform gender relations and overcome gender inequalities faced by women and men. Participants will think critically about how men and boys can serve both as change agents and as target groups in realising gender equality and gender justice for all. This course will focus on the lessons learned by organisations that have carried out gender equality programmes that have engaged men and boys in fields such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health and rights, domestic work and caregiving, education, income generation and economic empowerment of women.

This course's objective is to equip participants with skills for conducting impact evaluations, with a special focus on youth employment programmes.
