Its overall goal is to develop further in-depth knowledge of the current reality of care-giving and receiving care; how care is linked to inequalities between women and men; and how the care economy fits into the global development model. This booklet aims to raise awareness and enhance knowledge of gender and care work - it contributes to global discussions on promoting the right to care and women’s rights through revealing case studies of care work.
