GTCoP - Community of Practice Training for Gender Equality

This toolkit provides users with a set of tools to design energy projects that are gender responsive. It contains questions to be asked during gender analysis, examples of gender-inclusive design features and gender indicators, and a number of case studies of recent ADB-financed projects. The tool kit aims to contribute to both the quantity and quality of gender mainstreaming in the energy sector operations in Asia and the Pacific, and beyond.

The toolkit aims to help the process of engendering and sensitizing youth organisations involved in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, intercultural dialogue and multiculturalism. It presents a short overview of internal gender mainstreaming and gender mainstreaming in project management, backed up by checklists and annotated resources in every section, best practices and trouble-shooters, tips, quotes and advice. Annexes include modules that lend a hand in addressing gender issues in organisations and projects. The entire toolkit is designed to 

This toolkit for educators and their unions supports them to create a healthy, safe environment in learning institutions for learners of all ages. The goal is to challenge and change negative gender stereotyping and gender inequalities in all aspects of learning institutions and to promote equal opportunities for women and men as learners to develop a healthy gender identity and complete a quality basic education. The kit focuses on five educator union priority working areas: (I) union policy development, (II) research, (III) advocacy, (IV) training and (V) publicity.

UNESCO's World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) toolkit for gender-sensitive water assessment and monitoring provides users with a pioneering methodological framework and with key indicators to assess the current status of freshwater resources on national, regional and global scale.The toolkit includes: a list of high-priority gender–sensitive water indicators methodology for collecting sex-disaggregated data on water resources guidelines for data gathering questionnaires for field surveys.

This toolkit provides examples of promising good practice approaches which have the potential to reduce women and girls' vulnerabilities to violence in the context of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programmes. While the toolkit was developed for use by WASH practitioners, it is also useful for gender-based violence (GBV), gender, protection, health and education specialists. It is relevant to development, humanitarian and transitional contexts. 

This manual aims to strengthen facilitators involved in capacity building of NGOs/INGOs, activists, government officials, and research institutions on gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its specific objectives are to strengthen facilitators’ ability to train stakeholders on: (1) the concepts of gender, equality and empowerment; (2) the differences between the SDGs and the MDGs and a critique of both sets of goals; (3) SDG targets and provisional indicators on gender equality; (4) monitoring SDG 5 indicators and other gender indicators at the national, provincial/district and community levels; and (5) good practices. 

UN Women’s new flagship report, provides a comprehensive assessment of progress, gaps and challenges in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from a gender perspective. The report monitors global and regional trends in achieving the SDGs for women and girls based on available data, and provides practical guidance for the implementation of gender-responsive policies and accountability processes. 

This Portuguese-language manual aims to address gender-based violence by filling the knowledge gaps that impede professionals from offering better assistance to victims of violence in health services.

The Jhpiego 2016 Gender Analysis Toolkit is a practical guide for public health professionals seeking to understand how gender can impact health outcomes, service delivery, and access to information and care. Its primary focus is sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health. Its purpose is to provide research questions to guide data collection when performing a project-level gender analysis. The Toolkit provides illustrative questions related to the five domains described in USAID's Automated Directive System (ADS): 1) Laws, regulations, and institutional practices; 2) Cultural norms and beliefs; 3) Gender roles, responsibilities, and time used; 4) Access to and control over assets and resources; and 5) Patterns of power and decision-making. 

This training package is for doctors, nurses, and paramedics to build their capacities to provide quality services to gender-based violence survivors. It consists of a Reference Manual, entitled "Clinical Protocol on Gender-Based Violence; Facilitator's Guide", and a Learners' Guide. The training package incorporates a blended learning approach, promoting on-the-job training, self-paced learning and group-based training.
