This resource pack describes existing materials and practices employed globally to train health professionals on abortion care for young women. It outlines data gathered in a survey of Ipas staff, consultants and partners; discusses findings from a literature review; and proposes recommendations for the development of a training toolkit for health professionals on abortion care, entailing guidance, training and educational materials. The pack is geared towards young people (aged 13-24) and stakeholders who work with adolescents on sexual and reproductive health issues – including NGO staff, volunteers, youth outreach workers, teachers and health service providers.
