The Community of Practice on Training for Gender Equality (CoP) provides an open forum for dialogue on new and emerging issues related to training and capacity development processes, as well as a platform for articulation and knowledge exchange between training for gender equality practitioners, gender equality specialists, and other key stakeholders from all around the world.
UN Women Training Virtual Dialogues are dynamic online discussions designed to foster meaningful debate, share best practices, exchange resources and ideas, and disseminate information on a wide range of topics related to Training for Gender Equality. These dialogues are tailored to reflect the interests, needs, and mission of the UN Women Training Community of Practice.
This discussion forum is a space in which CoP members can post threads on topics related to training for gender equality – we hope that this will become a focal point for debates and exchange between our members.

Recent engagement I had with communities revealed that traditional gender roles sometimes work in favour of young girls. Parents argued that it assist them to have time with their girls and it keeps them at home safe from unplanned pregnancy.
The UN Women Training Centre and Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) of the Netherlands are launching the latest edition of their Professional Development Programme for Gender Trainers. Called "Feminist Edge", the programme offers professional development for gender trainers that re-captures and re-imagines gender training as a feminist project. It repositions training for gender equality as a strategy to challenge and engender mainstream development and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme addresses the need to (re)claim autonomous spaces for feminist knowledge production and challenges development policy makers and practitioners to re-think how to address social and gender inequity to ensure that “no one is left behind.” Feminist Edge focuses both on the practice of gender training and on its conceptual underpinnings.

La igualdad política formal garantiza que todos los ciudadanos tengan acceso a los mismos derechos políticos, es decir, que todos y cada uno de ellos puedan votar, presentarse como candidato a determinado cargo, manifestar sus opiniones sin reservas ni censuras, exigir responsabilidad a sus representantes y a organizarse en partidos políticos. Al mismo tiempo, las instituciones reconocen a cada uno de los ciudadanos el acceso y ejercicio de esos derechos en partes iguales a cada uno.
Igualdad política sustantiva
La igualdad política sustantiva se contempla cuando en el campo de la práctica política, y por consiguiente, social y económica, todos los ciudadanos tienen los mismos derechos y las mismas oportunidades para acceder a estos derechos.
Hola soy Yimari Quintero saludos y bendiciones desde Venezuela... Soy docente y he realizado contribuciones en la Calidad Educativa con la creación de un Manual Agenda Escolar, libro que se encuentra publicado en una Editorial Española y he contribuido a difundir mi ensayo con algunos docentes de mi país. Mi preocupación actualmente es la falta de motivación del gremio docente debido a su baja remuneración con respecto al trabajo que realizan para ofrecer una buena educación en Venezuela, ya que un maestro con el mas alto rango apenas gana 50$ y otros no llegan ni a 30$ mensuales para subsistir, con una canasta de alimentos básicos que pasa los 300$ mensual, es por ello que levanto mi voz en pro de todos los docente venezolanos por un SUELDO DIGNO que les permita cubrir sus necesidades básica, por una buena CALIDAD DE VIDA y CALIDAD EDUCATIVA e IGUALDAD DE CONDICIONES PARA TODOS LOS TRABAJADORES VENEZOLANOS.
Como generar grupos de ayuda, que se aseguren de brindar igualdad y ver que se rijan los derechos durante un concepto de riesgo.
